03/24 - Spreading Sunday!

They're cute and cuddly....until they get wet. They they're the stuff of nightmares.

 

I know that I lurk here much more than I post but it's usually because anything that I could answer or help with has already been done by the time I see it because of the many helpful people here. I'm mostly posting and sharing this because it's a Sunday anyway and not likely to mess up a busy workflow. Anyway, I knew this young man and his mother extremely well and I have a very heavy heart and feel so sorry for his mother, a wonderful friend. Don't take any day for granted because tomorrow is never promised. @jessers One is still in the shop. It hasn't been changed much since I posted pics last time. The guy that was doing the body was a total fuckhead and his business went under, so I had to take it somewhere else. That put it about 5th in line to get worked on. I went and looked at it a month ago and he had started working on the backend, but it doesn't look much different than this. It's actually a barracuda convertible.


The other is a trailer queen. 71 340 with a shaker hood in Bahama yellow. I've taken it too a few car shows.

Pros:
This should be an easy HIT, although still underpaid because you have to review 2 photos and rate them.

Cons:
The requester rejects HITS immediately and there is very little instructions/examples given. I've done three of these HITS and unfortunately, 2 were rejected. I should have listened to the other reviewer. This is a very subjective HIT when there are so few instructions given.

The guy doing it is finishing a camaro, then he's gonna do the rest of the body work on mine and get it painted. I'll probably do the motor with my dad since he's knows that era of Chrysler motors inside and out. It will be a full resto job though. I don't actually have the original motor, so I may buy a 426 if I can't find a decent original.
