People are always fixing them because they keep them for too long and they end up being project vehicles. I had one when I was young it was just like any other car, went about 100K before it started having any problems. Some guys just like those XJs and CJs because the motors are pretty good and run forever. The only engine problem I ever had with my jeep was the valve cover gasket leaking. The thing was, if I ignored it for a while, it would eventually reseal itself. I actually wish I never sold that thing.

i can imagine it's a good car to have where you live though, but i suppose it wouldn't be convenient if he treats it badly.

i had one as a rental, because i jokingly asked if it was an abarth and the guy said yes, and it most certainly wasn't. it was fun though, it was so small i made it fit horizontally in a garage just for the hell of it.

My Jeep is old as shit and still runs like a total babe. The only issue I had this year was the radiator thing and that just turned out to be the thermostat not working correctly and cost like 14 bucks to fix?

Oh, and the time I got plowed into by a deer. And then the time Matt shattered the back window with a dirtbike. That's not really Mister Jeep's fault tho.

Other than that, that thing is practically immortal and I love it.
