Steve had a stroke last night, they say this is common after cardiac episodes. We have him on a vent to allow his body to rest. New territory here for us. They said the Brilinta which was prescribed to prevent stroke actually may have caused it, and this new doctor is saying it is no better than aspirin, just 400$ every few weeks aspirin. I know this isn't work related, but anyone know what to expect after a stroke as far as time in recovery, and just overall, I guess what I should expect the doctors to do? And is it normal to keep him awake but on the vent? I wanted them to give him something to sleep and be more comfy.
