I just got real silverware last night after 4 months of snapping plastic forks and spoons. I am no longer "poor" I am fancy.

Guy I used to work with's wife made over 200,000 per year and have two rental properties. They've declared bankruptcy twice. Are over 100k in credit card debt. He's always complaining about how bad he has it. It blows my fucking mind. I've tried to talk to him about how I would be willing to help him with a budget and shit like that - but he refuses to take advice. Goes out to eat for every meal and shit. It's just so dumb

 

I asked matt if he feels like the only man who shops at target and he said, “ why the fuck would I care? I do what I want.”

I aspire to give that few fucks about what other people think of me one day.

After a year probably....but 4 months for $2 at the Discount Used Food Store plus I still have enough left to last a long time.

 

People always get very angry with me when I say people are poor by choice. Now there are exceptions of course there always are but the majority of people need to get up and take care of it. When my wife and I got married we were dirt poor. I mean could not even go to the store and buy an extra snack poor. We had both wracked up dumb CC bills from before because we were uneducated and it was our fault for not educating ourselves on it I don't blame anyone else.

I stayed poor for 4 years picked up more hours when I can put my head down and grinded out those CC's now I'm debt free other than my cars and house. Anyone can do it. It requires motivation.

 

Target is great, especially the little fat holiday birds.

I've seen this with friends as well lol. Its sad but it's their lives

 

Generally it's not by choice. They just do not have enough education (or self-awareness) to get themselves out of poverty. Then their kids continue the cycle because they have to get jobs right out of high school to support their family and the like 3 kids they had before they were 22.
