I've found the best way I can handle it is simply not talk to anyone but the two or three people who interact with me. I go grocery shopping in off hours, keep chit chat in a minimum and just go on as pleasant as I can. I can manage a trip every couple of days if I have to but I couldn't work it. If this job ever goes tits up I'm going to have to find something similar.

Right now including hypertension and back meds I am taking about 17 different pills a day and dread what would happen if I ever had to have emergency surgery and go cold turkey off some of the more serious ones. I have tried Nootropic and CBD but it just doesnt work for me

We're lucky our preacher NEVER talks about tithing. The church actually does a pretty good job with that anyway for as small as we are. But the backsliding, he drives that point home

I am seriously bbipolar as well so I have to contend with that. I can go places where I have a good exit plan but I dont push it. I sold my car because I got tired of paying for insurance and tax and tags for it to sit in the garage. I am just glad Walmart delivers groceries and I order pet treats and food online because people get tired real quick of hauling you around

 

Easier said than done. My brother became agoraphobic after he went for a period of time with an undiagnosed heart condition, he was a teen. He passed out at work and no one found him until the next day. After that it grew worse and worse. He couldn't be alone. When he did leave the house, someone had to be with him. When we tried to get his disability, we lived in Houston and they wanted him to go to the other side of town, he could not drive, that meant 4 bus routes, I had to explain that the nature of his disability prevented me from being able to force him across town on a 3.5 hour bus ride. His panic attacks were awful. Years later he is working and successful. But this took diagnosing his medical condition, 2 heart surgeries, and a ton of therapy post op to retrain his brain to not panic. We don't always know what the underlying cause is, but stop being afraid is usually pretty high on someones wish list.
