If I'm playing the long game, I'd much rather have a good Requester on the platform, rather than me gaining a measly $5, I don't know what budget this person is working with, but I hope he/she wouldn't be put off by his massive phuck up, and yeah it's a University and blah, blah, blah, yadda,, yadda, everyone can choose what they want to do, I choose to just give it back. I'm still $5 ahead. Half the time I can't even remember from whom or why I am getting a bonus, I just like the pleasant surprise. But if my bonus is going to phuck someone's week up, I'd rather not have it.

 

You are being taxed on that $5 so you are losing money if you send it back.

I just find it a bit suspicious. The HIT was super-easy; the bonus was supposed to be $4 but instead 2 $5 bonuses were sent; now he or she wants $5 sent back to a paypal account??

 

And here I am, trying to be nice, haven't gotten a rejection for 2 MONTHS and some PHUCK NUT Requester has just given me one, for some bogus reason, I shall try to fight it, but it was a risk I took.

 

it is not about giving the money back, it is about how we can give the money back.

We had this conversation before and we (me and the secret group of the wisest ) decided that;
1. They are free to talk to amazon guys and take the money out of my mturk account. They should talk to amazon, not to me.
2. What happens at mturk should stay at mturk; you should not use any other financial websites like venmo, paypal, etc.

Wow, just you? Or was this a mass "screw up"? Sounds like scamming the funder to me, personally. I don't know how I would handle this TBH, not certain I want a requester knowing my paypal info, depending on what the HIT involved I guess.
