Holy hell in a handbasket!

The book for my kid's Spanish class costs $180.00.

ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY DOLLARS.

WTF?

I could print my own for less than that.

 

You should. I pirated all of my college books.

 

For whatever reason, everyone in my family has extreme addiction issues. I think it was my health issues that probably kept me on the right road, since I had to get drug tested A LOT to stay on my prescriptions and couldn't drink for large periods of time. I'm betting if my health had been better, I may have fallen into the same trap. Luckily, my body hates me and I learned real quick not to do anything that would make my life harder. Tho, LPT: Do NOT drop your passport off the side of a large boat. Just...don't. It's a PITA to deal with.

The book for my Anatomy and Physiology class was $263. When I went to sell it back at the end of the semester the guy offered $28.

 

Did it have a online code that you needed to use? If it didn't you are a fool for buying it instead of renting or pirating it.

I went down the WRONG road earlier on because I was self-medicating. When I got diagnosed it all quit

 

One of my professors gave us the pdf for the book because that shit is a racket.

 

Well hell. Guess I might need to do some turking today.

My dryer is still broken, I owe a lawyer $150 and now my kid's college textbook is $180.

I have a ton to do today (which is why I took the day off from other job, I'm just killing time now waiting for the kid to be ready to work) and wasn't going to turk but chit.
