So the final quote for the damage to the house is over 9k.. they ended up ripping drywall out of the ceiling in the living room and garage downstairs as well as pulling up the carpet from the laundry room to the master closet.... the guilt is going to eat me alive...

Nice. Nice pic too. I always wore New Balance for walking around long distances and Doc Marten's as my daily/work shoes. I was sold on Merrell when I was at a camping shop and my sales guy had just gotten back from walking the Appalachian trail. He wasn't even trying to sell me on shoes because I was looking for a tent. I asked him about his favorite hiking shoes/boots.

 

The debris filter wasn't put all the way back in, so an entire load of laundry drained onto the floor and then through the floor. Home insurance will cover, but we have to pay the 1 thousand deductible first.

Another thing... one thing I like about going to actual camping shops is the sales people there tend not to dick around. You are buying supplies for situations that can end up in critical or life/death situations. They tend to be more matter of fact even though the actual goods are more expensive than normal.
