De. lic. ious. Simply make your cream of chicken soup, make the cheese for your noodles, mix the two together and stir in your pasta.

You ought to come to one of my dad's cookouts and try some of his charred lumps of flesh that are inedible without copious amounts of steak sauce and were also probably dropped on the ground.

Once he was grilling burgers and my aunt saw a tiny speck of what might have been pink and she made him put them all back on the grill until they were inedible.

Burgers are my exception. They should be at least medium well imo. When you grind up the meat you're introducing all sorts of bacteria into the middle of the patty.

I was once a smoker and did the whole quitting thing unsuccessfully many times

The one thing that really helped me was just a change of mindset.

The mentality of "quitting" makes you think you're giving something up. But with smoking, you're not giving anything up. You're only stopping smoking.

Thinking of it as "quitting" is a scary prospect. Being scared of make believe withdrawals. Not knowing what's ahead. Not knowing what to do. But it's all a lie. You're not "quitting". You're only refraining from smoking. - a worthless activity.

Smoking accomplishes nothing. The lies you tell yourself is one of the hardest things to get over. The whole being scared of withdrawals. Feeling like you can't reward yourself. Not knowing what to do after you eat, wake up, have sex, etc... They're all lies you tell yourself and none of it is rational. Smoking accomplishes nothing other than fill a make-believe void in your head.

Ask yourself honestly if smoking does anything. It kind of makes you a bit dizzy I suppose. Why do you need that? Why do you feel you need it now, but before you started smoking you didn't need it then? You don't need it. Withdrawals are so extremely MINOR that they're not even worth being scared of. You can still socialize. You can reward yourself for a hefty meal, accomplishing something, having sex, whatever another way.

Smoking is worthless. Has no value whatsoever.

I don't suggest doing anything other than cold turkey. Nicorette gum, vaping, etc - all perpetuates the make-believe "quitting" lie via a replacement. You're not replacing anything. You're not quitting anything. You're just stopping smoking - an activity that has no value.

I'm kind of ranting, but the whole point I'm making is that smoking is worthless and don't think of stopping smoking as an actual hurdle - that makes it scary. It's not.

Now that's different. I can't eat burgers if there is any pink in them. I don't want them burnt, but I want them fully cooked through.

it depends on the grade of meat: if you put ketchup on choice or lower, it's a matter of taste

prime: ketchup, or anything else: you're a heathen

You're absolutely right. Smoking is worthless. I've smoked since I was twelve and I think it just became a part of me in the last 25 years of my two pack a day habit. My mother died of lung cancer at 43, so you would think that would have been incentive enough to make me stop. I was 9 years old. But I looked at RJ the other day, he's 9, and I thought, what would happen to him if I died because of a disgusting bad habit? I know I should just do it cold turkey, but I think I have myself so psyched up and I have anxiety anyway, I made it worse. So I'm praying Chantix works for me. I appreciate the time you took to write what you call a rant, but I call it you caring enough to respond in depth. :ba:

Chantix can be good. Helps you regulate your emotions and stuff. Can definitely help with smoking, but also mental health in general.

I am mostly suggesting to not replace nicotine with nicotine. That's unnecessary.

I'd say good luck, but you don't need it. After all, you're not facing a real hurdle or a challenge. You're only stopping smoking :)

And that's going to be what I say from now on. I'm not giving up cigarettes, I'm not quitting, I'm simply stopping. :emoji_heart_eyes:
