You ever have days where each and every hit you get into you look it over then decide you don't want to do the work? I'm there now. Lazy day for me.

 

Update on my medical Saga

I currently have 3 surgeons trying to figure out what to do with my leg a sport medicine guy I've seen for 3 years now, a trauma surgeon and a joint specialist. Saw the sports guy yesterday and he looked at my X-rays again and isn't real confident the knee replacement is go to be sucesfull especially long term.

Spoiler

1. He doesn't thing the rim fraction could even heal at this point so cementing it is probably the best option.
2. Meanwhile the bone is still collapsing causing my leg and ligaments to rotate so I would need a seperate surgery and a cage to straighten that out.
3. Replacing the knee is going to require removing a significant amount of hardware from my leg below the knee but every place they pull a screw out of will leave a drill hole that is likely to refracture at some point.
4. The lymphodemia means I'm at high risk for developing a bone infection.

And all this for a questionable outcome. Other options

1. straightening my leg and fusing the knee
2. Amputation.

I need to see the other two and see what they have come up with but the guy I saw yesterday thinks they will want to try the knee replacement then go from there if it fails. But I couldn't get an appointment with either of them until Jully so I went ahead and scheduled my vacation for August and they can schedule their plans for ripping my leg apart yet again around my trip.

On one hand I really don't want to lose my leg on the other I have already had 15 surgeries each followed by grueling physical therapy and now they are talking about a minimum of 2 more just to possibly end with them amputating it anyway.

I just realized that I completely forgot about the Melissa Villaseñor show on campus yesterday, oops. I was really looking forward to it but it completely slipped my mind.

 

Some of these requesters and their completion codes make me chuckle. Some are like "Your completion code is R_dfs74FQfssss78bf38w" and then others hand out stuff like "Your completion code is 42" or "Your secret word is BROCCOLI2019". I copy and paste just the same, but those who just pop out very short numbers make me laugh for some reason.
