i sure was wrong about this being a good day huh

 

One of the trails I walk with my dog can also cut thru towards the train tracks/closer to town and I ran into a tweaker recently. He called out to me and I hauled ass in the other direction. NOPE NOPE NOPE! I'm not a large person and NOPE. I cut thru the sand to hit the road faster and one of my neighbors saw me in a dead sprint and ran over to me. Meth head was literally following me and popped out a few minutes later (Listen, I'm sure he may not have had ill intentions but I have 0 urge to find out). NOPE NOPE NOPE!

Only time I have ever run into someone who wasn't running/walking their dog/ hiking back there and I bout peed my pants. Fight or Flight kicked in hard and I had no urge to fight a methed out crazy man lol.



Our neighborhood is fairly quiet itself, and basically everyone has cameras cause of the sketchiness in town, but HOO BOY, there's a reason a lot of the SOs refuse to live here and make their partners drive like 30 miles to work. I was just determined to suck it up after living 30 miles away for the first year we were here. It's been overall better, but we've had some fun scenarios. People are paranoid and uptight here, but with good reason.

 

I wish more people would realize mturk is absolute garbage for academic research.
