I actually kinda miss working in retail.. same w/ bartending.. customers can be booty but usually the jobs themselves have a weird fun camaraderie component to 'em.

 

It isn't like the plot is super complicated or anything so you could just watch the last avengers movie and you should be fine.

 

I also have plans to restock at costco on Saturday. Does that count as fun?

My unit is a pretty good one, and I get it serviced annually, but I live in an older home. While half my house is cinderblock, which is mighty fine insulation, it gets so damn hot here for so many days in a row that when we are on our 16th day of over 100 temps, it gets really expensive really, really fast.

I'm not willing to pay more than $200/month to cool my house (which is what it has cost me at mostly 78 in the very worst of the heat waves in the past).

 

Do you have central AC or one of those shitty window units?

 

I'm still working through, but Ragnarok took the wind out of my sails and I don't know if I can continue. Just going to watch Ant Man again...

Yeah I really hate it when people do that....I saw one on Reddit before it got downvoted to hell but it sounded like BS anyways. I don't think I was every hyped for a movie like this back when I was his age, but I can totally see kids being total dicks and ruining it lol.

 

We're going to the lake again. Maybe. If it's not closed due to high water again. Does that count?

And I WISH I had a window unit. Where I first lived with kiddo had two window units and they worked most excellent, and at night all I paid to cool was the bedroom we were in (it was a very large one bedroom and his crib fit in there just fine). Much, much cheaper to cool the house down that way.

If I didn't have old fashioned crank out windows I would have installed window units in our bedrooms to reduce the cooling costs at night. I don't care if my living room is cool when I'm asleep.

 

Ant-Man and the Wasp is on Netflix. I watched it right after and was kinda disappointed it was okay but not nearly as good as the original.

 

I joke about it a lot but idk how you can spoil a movie like that.. bad guy is bad, good guy is good, good guy wins even when they shouldn't (law abiding citizen??)

I like those movies b/c of the pretty lights/colors/explosions.. which I also know are gonna be there ahead of time lol..

 

It is true though? They are mass appeal movies so they don't make anything all that complicated.

Kiddo and I rewatched all the Marvel movies last year in preparation for Infinity War. And we've kept up on the other ones that have come out since then. We're pretty into the MCU, lol.

We do like the DC movies, too, but we're not as fanpersons about it as we are with our beloved Marvel.
