Hm. Not according to the reports I pull on myself, and the reports we run here to run people's credit when they apply for rentals. We get "reasons" for how they determine scores, and too many revolving lines of credit shows up.

I'll have to research further, just going off what I see when we pull reports.

 

I wonder what you actually have to do to get the lowest score though.. trying to find an example credit report for someone in the 300s

I'd vomit if my credit score dropped to a 700. I don't even like that it's below 800.

 

Rentals/home loans doesn't use the same credit formula that credit cards use.

 

So, because we run credit all the time and we do have minimum credit score that people have to meet to rent from us (550), it's is STUNNING to me how many people's credit scores are in the 400s. I mean, wtf? How hard do you have to try to get it that low?

I don't even know what my credit score is. I haven't checked it in years. We follow Dave Ramsey and pay cash for everything. Although, mine is probably not good cause when I got my divorce years ago, he wanted everything and then decided to stop paying on everything.

I really want to see an example of someone in the 300s.. like a real world example that is legitimate.. obviously you'd have to do a boatload of things incorrectly but I want a quantifiable example to look at and make myself feel better about life lol

 

It has worked for me the last 10 years.

 

I need this answered.. it has to be people who legitimately tried right? Like some uber rich dude who was just like "lets set a high score in something" so somehow gamed it to get down that low

 

I've only seen one, and that was only because they had just ONE thing on their report and had not established credit yet per se. I think the 300 was for putting their names on their papers kind of thing.

 

My credit score is about 550 and dropping. All my cards are behind at this point and I have about 15k of cc debt. Yeah, my life really sucks right now. Being disabled, sick and poor is so fun.

 

But hey, once his bankruptcy clears, he'll be able to do it all over again.
