Well you've knocked me out of the park. The only thing I've done today was mow for about and hour, tend the garden for a bit, then sit outside and talk with the hubby til I got on here. lol

Yes you can. Just reinforce it because of the extra weight, but totally doable. I think they call them "green roofs" cause they're environmentally friendly when it comes to heating and cooling.

I remodeled some condos in a few buildings in SF that had them...it was nice...like a rooftop park without the homeless and other SF stuff

 

I think it would be so cool. It's not an option for us, but since our roof is tin, you can only get up there certains times of the year/day. It would be one hell of a sun worshiping spot if we could. lol

 

You need more than reinforcement otherwise your roof is going to rot. But it shouldn't be a hard project none-the-less.

 

I think I will do like half my main patio....it is above a car port/garage so I don't need to go crazy to make sure water doesn't leak. I think the cats will flip their lids over it....plus I'll like it too haha.
