Yes you're right. We have a tin roof, and so does everything around our place so I didn't think about the traditional roof style.

 

I totally want pics when you're done. Maybe I can convince my husband it will be worth the extra work. lol

Nevermind then. Not sure what it'd do to a tin roof. Does tin rot? Either way, I'd put up some kind of barrier between the earth and the tin.

It's a flat steel cement coated roof with drainage...I'm covered with mine is what I'm saying. I wouldn't consider it on a rental property if I had to do any more than a raised bed and tie into the drainage.
