Not to argue with you though. ... It's MTurk — for every underpaid hit there's always another even-more-egregiously underpaid hit...

 

Yeah, I'm really picky about which bounding boxes I do. I always do about 100 as a test batch for any requester and then go from there. Gives me an idea of what they want, if I'm good at it, and if it pays well for my ability at it. Some of these math ones are worth it, some of them aren't. Your friend is the return button on some of them!

If you like them and make what you think is a fair hourly on them, go ahead and go ham. But also don't tell everyone on the site what batch you're working. It may seem like there's only like 10 people here at any one time, but there's a hundred silent lurkers just waiting to be spoonfed hits and who will also spoonfeed their entire extended family/friend network the same hits. Also I only read like one post in this conversation, so forgive me if we've been over the "muh sekrit batch REEEEEEE" part.

And that is acceptable wages for that kind of work? It isn't for me once you take into account wrist strain.

 

Found out that along with a bad sinus/upper respiratory infection Kiddo also has strep.

At least the fever has been explained (and I have learned to check his throat even if he says it doesn't hurt, which it doesn't hurt so I never suspected strep).

Let's hope next week is less crazy (but just as good as earning on mturk because my bathroom plumbing is leaking and I now have to get a contractor in on top of the plumber who was here Friday. Yay old houses!)
