I would have let him sleep in the damm car. Piss on that. Bag all his shit up one day and hide it (friends house or anything) and tell him since he treats his stuff like trash you just went ahead and threw it out for him. Then when he threatens to sleep in the car, tell him you'll be generous this time and provide extra blankets. He will only get away with whatever he is allowed to. And you need to not make the step child distinction. I know that it is there, and always will be, but when he's under your roof he needs to give you the respect of being the man of that house. If that doesn't work, throw the whole kid away and get a new one.

 

new cat needs a cat house with 1 little door. then when he goes in there when the orange cat tries to bother him the new cat can stop him from getting in the door.

 

I didn't find him till he was already old.

 

He went to his dads after he got told, well you got blankets.

 

He cleaned up well. Still a baby kitten. (they're always "Baby Kittens" or "Poopy Puppies" to me)

The other ones seem pretty good, the 3 I had before get along ok, and the other 2 and my new cat are decent they just hiss and thats about it.....but this orange one, he would spend his whole day chasing and attacking the new cat.

It's like his alpha personality can't let off for even a second. He literally will sit in my office just staring my other cat down.....chase him under the bed and sit and wait.

It's like ok dude you're just being a dick now, you chase him off and he comes right back.

 

He's my garbage can cat and I love him! He's the most attitudinal, smelly, deaf, cranky, and bratty cat I have ever known. It's fantastic!

Bearnie is highly territorial and thinks he's the godzilla of this household. To be fair, he pretty much is. Despite his asthma, he has made everyone his Grinch. Coug cat kept getting into brawls with Bearnie, which was a disaster, cause Bearnie was once feral too and had 0 qualms about ripping his fur out and trying to bite his throat like a fricken feline murderer. I had to seperate them A LOT and spend a lot of time socializing them together only when I was there to make sure they wouldn't ass kick each other. I would give them treats for being in the same room without brawling. Eventually, Coug cat moved onto Scraggles, who is cranky but old and weak, and Bearnie got PISSED about that and would start wailing on Coug for starting fights with any of the other cats- prior to that, Bearnie kept trying to mma fight Scraggles. Sheila and Holly did not get along at all for quite awhile, like 2 girls fighting over a prom queen tiara, and they still get chippy now and again. Porgy is a pillow of a cat, and basically gets along with everyone- except for that stint where after 2 years together, he briefly decided he hated Bearnie and he wanted to be the cat in charge- this did not go like he thought it would.

Don't even get me started on scraggles and the dogs for awhile. It was bedlam.

Socializing cats and dogs is no easy task, but with patience, you can at least get them to not maul each other. Mine all get along quite well now, but it took work work work.
