    OK, now I understand your point. (Sorry for being dense.)

    I'm still a perpetual n00b and can't (yet) hope reach the earnings of elite and expert turkers. Maybe someday.

    Isn't your point applicable to basically any (survey) platform other than MTurk? Not only Prolific, but also the several router-sites that really wasted my time with their endless parades of lengthy screeners, plus any "not that bad" survey sites that may be comparable to Prolific, may all be wasted time if their "hourly" earnings potential cannot compare to that of MTurk?

    Different kind of hit that somewhat breaks up the monotony of the other tasks i complete daily.
    Cons:
    Pay not worth it and has dropped more in the last couple days, feels like requester is attempting to find the lowest cost people will do.
