Poor little Bearn had to be on oxygen for awhile, while the steriods they gave him started to kick in, but his breathing picked back up within the hour and he started trying to escape, as is tradition. Vet said that apart from his terrible lung function, he's the healthiest cat she's seen all month and his fur is so soft. I wish more people had such well cared for cats like this! His teeth are SO CLEAN! I know, I know, he's literally perfect.

I felt so much better when he started trying to escape! Annoying is good. Annoying is alert! Vet said they've been swamped with cats & dogs having extended asthma episodes the past few weeks because of the storm systems rolling thru and she was impressed Bearnie made it this long before his lung function crapped out.

He's such an adorable chump tho, and would forget he wanted to escape as soon as he got attention.
