C'mon, tweeter (one who dislikes identity terms like "turker" and "redditor" and probably "tweeter") — Give "these people" [sic] some credit. Crowd-workers know about competition – thus for example the common advice against sharing lucrative batches (while allowance is made for sharing surveys and such). ... (Likewise on some other types of crowd-work forums, such as transcription forums, again some will advise against sharing lucrative sources that weren't already widely known.) — We, "these people" [sic], are aware that we are competing.

One wonders how the aforementioned tweeter might prefer crowdworkers to behave — sharing nothing?

On the idea of sharing nothing, my own earlier comment was "rhetorical", not a serious suggestion: "...If secrets should be kept, why not close the forum(s)? Quit sharing HITs, scripts, advice, etc. publicly? Everything useful that's posted publicly can be potentially exploited by someone out there." ;-)

 

You need more... many many more.

 

I'm pro shutting down turkerview if we can prevent people from starting up a new one.
