Thinking $8/hr is great pay is a trap newer turkers often fall into when they first start out. Once you get more experience and familiarize yourself with the platform, you will realize that you can do way better for yourself. I'm not sure how well mturk really works outside of USA/India but dunno.

99.99% of the people here are US workers and a majority of mturk on a whole are US or India for the slave wage tasks.

 

if it's your first 10 day probationary period and you made $8/hr, you did better than 95% of the people here

 

They added the ability to withdraw to bank accounts (for a fee) for thirdies recently.

 

i know other brazilian dude that is helping me, he does earn the same money as me.

 

maybe if I spruce up my place with a trip to walmart, this entire 3 day weekend won't feel like a wasted weekend
