My kid buys all his gaming and computer stuff. Even that fancy Switch he just shelled out for (but he got some of that money as a Christmas gift).

The switch sucks for storage, though. He downloaded two games then we had to go buy a microSD for a third game. I was surprised at it's tiny little native storage self.

His PS3 just died. Blinking red light of death. I tried to save it but...it was a goner.

Kid still plays the Wii but that's because he has the Metroid trilogy for it.

 

So that's why he was so determined for me to continue the "auction"...

 

My 2DS only came with 2gb of microSD storage. I was so mad. How am I supposed to install all those games that I totally 100% paid for with only 2gb?

 

Be happy it used sd and not Sony’s own manufactured storage for the vita whew it is soooo expensive

 

Kid still has his DS Lite (? is that correct?) I did buy him that gaming thing as a gift. I don't think that has any storage?

he has like 30 game square thingies for it. Not sure what to do with all of that now. I'm sure it'll still be in my house when he goes to college.

How hard is it to provide better storage, Nintendo? I'm going to bet my kid will need several microSD cards at the rate he's buying games.

The DS Lite was made before we started using micro SD cards for everything, and you can still get a totally 100% not illegal flash cart for that that will have enough storage for all your games that you can put a micro SD in.

 

It just occurred to me that I got my kid his DS, got him the Wii, got him addicted to gaming, then told him I was no longer paying for his addiction.

Hm.

Possibly, I'm not a good mom.

Or possibly I'm a genius because he started running two businesses by age 13 to pay for gaming.

Okay, I just looked that up. Because that made no sense to me, not being a gamer myself, lol.

Kid still thinks PC gaming is superior. And I hope so with his Steam library of like 50 bazillion games (that were free, or he paid for!)

He's just all into the Switch right now. Super Smash Bros. Zelda. And gaggingly enough, Mario (I hate the sound of that game).

He says he's not abandoned his love for PC gaming at all. (He never played his PS3, it was a hand me down, he only ever used it to stream Netflix or Hulu, lol. I'm unclear on why I tried to save it, but I had to try because YouTube said I might be able to. It was wrong. It's ded.).
