This is like when a new tenant will ask me "what animals are not allowed in the unit?"

I mean. No giraffes, no horses, no rhinos, no hippos. Its like when a server at a restuarant vaguely asks what you dont want on your sandwhich. I mean, i dont want nails, metal shavings, additional teeth that are not my own.

The list is a lot shorter if you started with what is allowed.

 

When we were looking at house we had a guy tell us we could have 1 kid or 1 pet....one or the other and that was it, it was like uh wtf?

Also this place I rent from now is great, they really don't care what you do.

When i get to 20 duplexes, I may consider a company or ill just switch to doing it full time and take on other people's rentals as well and manage them. Right now I do everything on my own and a lot of really good tenants appreciate that. Management companies kind of do push things aside and dont provide the service that many good tenants like. You wouldnt believe how many tenants want to leave thier current leases to come over to mine just for the fact that they hate dealing with management companies when they have issues that they want resolved.

Well so far I've been here a bit over a year, my AC broke when it was 98 outside they had a guy out to fix it within a day, when my main clogged up they had a dude out to unclog it within an hour.

One nice thing they do is if you have some big issue like that they just contract a company to do it instead of making you wait on their maintenance dudes.

 

LOL. Yeah... but if you leave a 4in hole in my wall from where you dumped the wires, i would charge to patch it. It's likely they dont want you fixing it because they want to make sure its done properly. Its a 20 dollar fix, but I would be surprised if you didnt see it on the backend when you move out. The lug bolts for TV's arent bad to spackle and paint, but if you are a cable snob like me, you ened up making more holes than you intend to hide wires down to your audio equipment. lol

 

Nah he told me to patch the hole, just that it wasn't a big deal. I installed a window AC and my friend literally had a fit telling me I'm supposed to clear that with the company and all this and it's like..dude they don't care relax.
