    I went and filled it up :(

    Which either means I've just trained the bird that pounding out loud noises will cause the feeder to fill up or the bird already had a good idea what was gonna happen & has trained me

    ...either way it's staying full from now

    I have a window AC unit in my office window and we have this one Bluejay that will literally land on my AC look in the window and peck the glass until I fill the feeder. This bird is too smart...I'm sure he's plotting my downfall. One day I'm going to walk to the feeder and fall into a pit, I can feel it.

    It wouldn't be that smart then, killing of the filler of the feed. If anything it may try to befriend you and be invited into the housing place of the feed so it can be with the feed.

    ooo I'm jelly.. the blue jays that hang around here are massive & refuse to land on my tiny little feeders lol. The wood pecker honestly looks freaking ridiculous on the thing b/c it's just too big of a birb but s/he makes it work somehow lol. Wish I could get the jays to hang around they're purdy

    However, I have to point out a funny story about how we have a mutually beneficial relationship.

    Like week the bird landed on the AC like normal but was acting weird...was chirping and basically screaming at me, right? Would look in the window at me but then turn and look back into the yard. I thought he was just being a jerk bird that day and being demanding.

    Until I went outside and saw a 4ft snake laying right under my ac.

    Thanks for watching out for me birdbro!

    We have the Pileated woodpecker here and they will wedge themselves into my feeders sometime. One of them was so heavy they actually broke the wire on a smaller feeder so I had to reinforce it.

    We had a cardinal wedge itself into a stand feeder and violently try to get out. Instead it smeared blood, shit, and feathers into the entire thing and we had to bleach it out. We swapped to a more open style of feeding after that.
