So my family invited me on vacation a couple months ago. I told them I'll try but probably can't. They call me at 10pm last night.
'Hey it's THIS Friday, you going?'
Fuck no, I can't on that short of notice.
'Can you do lunch 2 hours away from your house?'
No, I have plans that I set a while ago
'You need to remember to make time for family!'
Maybe come down and scheduale a time to VISIT me instead of just driving through the town and laughing at 'my shitty podunk town'
'You never go on vacation with us' ' You could do it if you wanted to, just work from the house we rented!'
Then goes on and on about how we don't do anything with family because the one to two times a year they make a trip past me we can't just randomly stop in the middle of the work week to go 2 hours out of our way to eat a single lunch with them. They don't even fucking stop the night in town to see me. Just drive on through.
Fucker is trying to imply that I don't want to see family, and not realizing that it's just fucking logistics of the situation.
