It's always a little fun for us, for a few days anyway (after that, we get fussy apart), because we indulge in selfish things and we sorta revert to when we first started dating and didn't see each other every single day. We send cutesy little texts and stay up late talking to each other and have fun things to talk about and both end up doing something for the other (I made him special snacks and he cruised around for the perfect cast iron for me). I think it's fairly healthy and we know a married couple who did the same thing (and also got shit for it)- our friend went to the cabin and goofed off while her husband stayed home with the cat and worked on his plane and everyone was very relaxed and her husband & I both waited impatiently at the airport to pick up our SO.



But, ya know, of course we all just don't understand how to be good couples! Why would we even want four days apart! Is something going on between my friend's wife and Matt-bot? Is that why they both went while the husband and I stayed home?! <---such bs. I love my alone time. I ate tacos and pizza and didn't have to share. I went on an adventure. Matt-bot also went on an adventure and ate tacos and pizza without sharing, because we both like eating pizza alone sometimes.
