06/05 - Woozy Wednesday!

Damn, Now I have no hope at all. The vet talked to me yesterday like there was hope cause she knows my issues but @Beerm has told me and I just read about it that there is absolutely no chance of a CCL healing itself without surgery. THis is awful . Fuck

This dude will not go in his basement right now cause there's a couple of small garter snakes that came up through his floor drain.

 

I don't mind writing/typing in general.. it's just creative writing that I don't do. I suck at it and it makes me feel a great deal of anxiety when I have to use my imagination.

 

I won't write about how my day was yesterday or what I ate for breakfast for two shiny quarters, but I for sure will Grinch about being asked to write about them for free.

 

Certainly not everyone's issue but I have problems using my keyboard (back and neck issues) so it will often depend on how I'm feeling that day. Though once we get the now spare bedroom cleaned up and Dave moves his office upstairs I can use my voice transcription more often and won't mind as much

 

When I was in third grade we had the most vicious parakeet ever. Her name was Little Bird and I strongly feel like she should've been renamed to Little Grinch.

 

With proper pay, I'll write you a f'n thesis paper, citations and all. but not for crap wage. I refuse. My time is just as valuable as anyone else's. I think it comes down to requester expectation vs willingness to pay fairly for the task (like all the other crud we do). Yesterday, I watched a dude almost vomit for nearly 5 minutes straight for four dollars. I mean... It's like the service industry to me: there are just certain standards I won't bend.

Full transparency: I do get lazy at times, though and writing just adds to the aversion, especially when it's an ill-worded or not well-thought-out subject.. That's just me though...

Also in all seriousness, some people take surveys super serious and so when the requester is like "hey will you please think about a traumatic experience in your life" they actually do it (fuck that noise for under $500 you're getting my tear jerker of a time when Zaxbys forgot my Zax sauce OH MY GOD WHY AM I RELIVING THIS TRAUMA RN)

And no $ is worth reliving some of that so some asshat can get their PhD so, don't really fault folks on that tune.

 

I'm a bad person....this dude tells me about this and I crack up and he tells me that I think him being broke is funny and I'm like that is a decision that you are making, it's not poisonous deal with it.

Like hey I don't like snakes either but I wouldn't kill one on purpose and if someone said it was 400 dollars to remove it, I'd become mr snake wrangler cause yea.

Stated that they are paying only .30 for the hit because I failed the questions involving the instructions. However, on the second pass through I flat out copied the instructions to review when answering the questions and confirmed that I was correct the first time.

There's a change I may have been mistaken in something but just a warning that the questions might have an issue with it.

If you choose not to go the surgery route, ask the vet for an NSAID like meloxicam/metacam, it should make her more comfortable in the meantime.

Oh no I wasn't faulting anyone! I was honestly confused why some people turn down things that pay well over the common writing prompts. This makes sense though.

 

This also. There are things I'm not willing to relive for $3 even if it comes out to $20 an hour

 

I've seen writing returns on 100 an hour HITs for "Write two adjectives to explain this ad."
