shit, almost missed Urbanizer

 

I was always super salty that working part time meant I got no grants.

It's because they're Federal and based off Federal wages. CA pays more than other states (cost of living his higher!) so my "not able to pay my rent" part time wage was a damn good wage for other parts of the country and the FAFSA felt like I made too much for grants. I was making like $14K per year, still did not get grants according to the FAFSA. (This was about 20 years ago, so 14K went further...)
