For all you want to be gardeners, here is some encouragement:


Excepting that big fat bunch of onions in the top left, all the other green pokey things coming up out of the soil are green onions I'm growing from the root tips you cut off and normally throw away. Just poke them into soil, keep watered and well drained, and you'll have onions when you want them for cooking.


These three jade plants all came from cuttings. I literally do nothing to them except keep them watered. That's it. They can handle a freeze, too, because they're under a tree. I poked the cuttings into a pot with soil like a decade or two ago and still have these plants.

And for @Buntastic less open space with the pool up. Tho the pool looks tiny in this pic, and it's not (16' diameter, 4.5' tall)
