let's say I have a wall that is exposed to the attic space (hot AF)

There is the normal insulation between the framing 2x4's (obvi, thank god) but is there any reason I can't just overlay another unfaced layer of insulation over that same as I could the ceiling that touches attic space? basically looks like this:



I can legit put my hand to the walls and it's warm AF in spots (mostly where the wood framing meets the wall, and def on all attic access points which have no insulation god save meeee) so kinda sounds sensible to cover it all in another layer but uhh, nothing on YT seems to recommend it or even really consider it soo I'm dumb why?
