What would be your opinion on offering an unpaid retake for those with scores over 70 who wish to be able to work on the HITs? I don't like putting unpaid work out there, but we can't afford to pay twice. We've done it before on an "on request" basis but never put out a retake more publicly to anyone with a score in a certain range.

 

Do you ACTUALLY need more workers? There's no point qualifying more workers if you're getting the results you want in the time frame you need it in. Folks are just meme'ing.

As this is a new qual, we don't have sufficient numbers of folks qualified yet. And I'd certainly rather allow people to retry because they want to do the HITs rather than putting more "fresh" qual attempts out there for people who are just going to take their $6 and continue ignoring our actual HITs.

If you want legit quality workers & quality is more important than time investment look at the folks who were borderline individually, try to see WHY they failed, and if it was for things that are easily corrected just send them a message and open a dialogue about it.

Arbitrarily retaking a test isn't going to really tell you much in many cases. Sure, some people will pass because they "learned" from their mistakes but you'll also get just as many who flop through completely on sheer luck. Allowing people to start brute forcing a qual HIT is a bad strategy, IMO.

Idk what your HITs are, but $6 for a qual test is a lot, if you wanna shoot me examples of what it is / why that's so expensive feel free, I've got tons of samples I can probably match it to to recommend better advice but wildly throwing money at qual HITs isn't done very often for good reason lol. Nvm went and looked and it takes 30 minutes for some folks.. good lord that is rough :s

 

You should've never paid out the bonus to people who would just randomly click for a free $8. There were a bunch of people who clearly didn't put effort in that you paid anyway when you really shouldn't have.
