That's true. A lot of decent transcription sites have style guides that are lengthy to pass, as well. The $4 did not necessarily reflect an accurate HIT in this case -- I caught it and didn't get it immediately. And because I -do- log them all to make sure I never get a rejection, that also shows up in a lower $ an hour. So, *shrug* my reviews all are opinion only. As are everyone else's.

unfortunately, this isn't -always- the case. i've never gotten them to respond to a single rejection, ever, in years, and i also keep very detailed logs and notes. i haven't done them in probably 6-8 months because of other work, and maybe they've changed something since then, but it's definitely not "always" i'm glad you've had good luck with them though!
