06/25 - Taunting Tuesday!

Just heard from the vet about doggo. She has some issues that don't surprise them due to her age (inflated markers for pancreas, but not super high, could be normal aging, and some markers for inflammation but no elevated white blood cells, so could just be her arthritis). Biggest issue is kidney problems. Nothing super serious yet, just elevated and I'm going to put her on a kidney diet. This vet was super nice and said that since doggo is 14 it's my choice on how aggressive we want to be and there are several options for keeping her comfy and as healthy as possible that aren't vastly expensive and don't involve jabbing her with needles daily.

I chose that option.

Also, she's on anti anxiety meds that seem to be working to calm her quite a bit. Maybe a bit too much, but we're giving it a few weeks. to see how she adjusts. She gets all excited about going for walks as usual, but then when we get out the door and hit the sidewalk it's like I'm dragging her around. Lethargy.

Anyway, she's mostly just old, and this vet is hella awesome and fine with not taking extreme measures and making her as healthy and comfortable as possible. But, the peeing on the carpet won't get much better, sigh. Looks like when she's gone I get new flooring.

Unless you are doing something intensive other than gaming, there is no reason to have an i9. Most game engines don't take advantage of all those cores anyways.
