Is black mirror a show you have to watch from the start (like season 1)? Netflix keeps playing ads for it when I load the site lol

It is episodic like the twilight zone so no.

 

And on the same weirdness level as the twilight zone... I couldn't get past the first two episodes.

 

Black Mirror is amazing.

It's kind of declining in quality though, the first 3 seasons were 5/5.

This new season was barely a 3.5/5 for me. Striking Vipers was easily the best episode though.

 

It isn't but there are some things that are used (mostly songs) that you'll hear playing that you will recognize from previous episodes. That's kind of cool but in no way changes any individual episode. I haven't watched any of the latest season yet but I really like the show and highly recommend it.

 

The episodes I watched from the second season have a fondness for NIN, as do I. I preferred the first season's episodes though.

 

Anthology, you can pick and choose which ones you want to watch.

First season was pretty great. Some spectacular episodes sprinkled throughout. Then this season hit and has only a few episodes that were rather lacklauster IMO.

 

Oops, maybe it was season three. The way Netflix let's you Rolodex through episodes with no visually exaggerated break between seasons might have me confused .

 

The very first episode ruined it for me. I can't bring myself to push through.

 

Not sure what season it was in, but the one about a VR tech study was pretty awesome, even a bit scary, to me anyway.

 

I totally get what you're saying here. It was a bit much but if you try the next episode or two to get a better feel for it overall I think you may be glad that you did.

 

Yeah the first episode of season 1 definitely went for shock value.


That's why I liked the first episode of season 4 though, it's hilariously sick but makes you think what if, cause they're pretty much all possible futures.

I'm pretty biased though because dystopian is my favorite genre. Anything based on a messed up future gets my gears going.
