Amazon needs to get better at understanding my preferences. I buy ONE weird dragon sculpture thing for @Buntastic and it thinks all I want are stone dragons now.

I looked up a microphone yesterday now every single one of my ads are for microphones

 

I did a batch that had you getting amazon links for baby items. Holy shit amazon thinks I really want this baby now because it's easy 5-6 emails a day about new and different baby items.

 

You can turn those off.

They do that from a car on the street. Just actually happened to two houses nearby, both people were gone on vacation. Both houses broken into on the same day. Me and my other neighbors have now set up surveillance on each other's homes and will now park in each other's driveways if one of us is gone. I also exchanged keys with the one neighbor that my son does all the house/pet/yard care for when she's gone.

Ring camera at least lets bad people know they'll be recorded coming up to my door! Even if they steal it, they're recorded. (This happened at work and we have a great photo of the guy who stole the camera and the cops knew who he was!)

But, if someone wants into my house to steal my stuff they're getting in. I'm not making it easy for them, but I'm also not stupid enough to think someone can't get in here.
