If I feel I am getting lazy or burnt I will get up and walk around for a little bit. What kills Turking for me more than anything is when I cannot get some quiet and some peace. Really hard to want to do anything besides mindless batches when I have moving pieces around me.

If there is an extra 10 seconds worth of time in a hit, *I* can take a power nap! LOL ... I fight sleep more than anything else. If I am doing hits that "fully engage me, i.e. I am having to tell my computer what I want to do using voice technology, then I can pretty much stay awake. That said, however if there is that itsy bitsy teenie weanie bit of "open air" while I am waiting on the internet to "spin and spin and spin" ... that's an open invitation for me to close my eyes and nap out. Everyone gets into their zone their own way. For me it's Caffeine, high energy music with no words (trance, edm, etc), vaping, and focus. Focus is the important thing. Don't have FB or Reddit open. If you 420, don't, until 4:20. Don't let your surroundings control your zone.

I'll have you know, I am running at a stunning +$14 over the life of HN right now.

 

As much as I have enjoyed reading some folks having fun at his expense what he did and has done shows a clear psychological issue which I hope he gets help for. My brother who passed away recently had some very similar tendencies with "Stanley" and life is no fun for those who have to deal with folks with those issues directly. To be clear I am not knocking anyone for making some jokes here and there and he was clearly in the wrong but I do feel he has some issues that could cause some great harm to himself and his family.
