Oh dear, I didn't realize it took that long to load. I’m sorry. It’s usually instantaneous to load, and then 2-4 mins wait for other players (on average, the people who are fast through training wait longer…)

The failure was mainly that the database server had a rate limit I wasn’t expecting to exceed, and so many people joined so quickly that everybody had bad page load times. When the last person completed the training, it flooded the server with new requests, and the server just gave up. Right as the game was about to launch, everything died, so all users got dropped. My previous game have all been with 20 players, and this was my first attempt at 40 players. Learn something new every time!
