When my daughter was 5 days old she went into the NICU. Had an IV in and they would have to administer medication through it. She would scream the whole time and I asked the nurse why it took them so long to put the medication in. Nurse was nice and told me their veins are so tiny that they have to inject it super slowly to prevent the veins from going "poof".

Broke my mommy heart. I couldn't even hold and nurse her while this was happening.

@ThisPoorGuy it's the hardest thing in the world to see your kiddo in the hospital. Hugs. I know the feels. It's one of the hardest parts of being a parent. I would say stay strong but eff that...because I sure don't when my kids can't see me!!

I hate it now when Kiddo just gets sick sick (like a couple of months ago with step throat and high fevers). He's 15 and it still guts me that I can't fix it. I hate feeling helpless as a parent.
