08/28 - Whom Wednesday!

Its hard to know if its worth spending the most on the newest RTX cards or just getting like a GTX 1080 Ti for a fraction of the price but still performs pretty well. I will post my parts list later I am almost finished with but I'm shooing to get it under $1000 for tower only because I have monitors and accessories already.

 

The 1080ti is comparable to a 2080 (not super I think?) I believe and sells for around that much ... I think? @A6_Foul_Out prob knows better

 

Okay, I that good to hear. I would prefer to build new myself so I have warranties and no fear of parts breaking.

 

yeah, that's going to be a stretch at 1000, 1250 maybe.

depends if you also need keyboard/monitor etc.

 

Right now PC building for a huge range of budgets is basically get a ryzen 5 3600 + different GPUs for various budgets.

 

This is a video I saved last year and was my goal to build this computer with a some slight variations. It is almost a year old now so hopefully the cost has come down a bit

 

I wouldn't buy parts based off a year old video. Computer hardware moves far too quickly for that.

True but because of that same reason the costs decrease substantially after a year and there is a sweet spot in their somewhere when the card begins to be outdated and the new ones come out making the prices considerably lower. I think I could probably make this same PC for $1000-1200 in current year.

It is just a waste of time to do that instead of just looking at what you can get for $1k now or w/e. In some ways your your computer will be faster but the GPU in their computer is prob still better than what you will end up with.

 

Cool, thanks the tips everyone. I'll be sure to post the build I come up with before I buy anything. The last time I spend 1500 on a prebuilt and I didn't know I could have build one myself with far more power for that price lol going to try to do it right this time.
