    Another cat questions here. 16 years ago, we got a cat for my daughter, had to move about 10 years after that and couldn't have cats for awhile. My mom took the cat and he has been living with her for 6 years (give or take). My mother died and my dad didn't want him so I took him back. He didn't run when I took him out of the cage when I got home but now he is under the bed and hisses at my other cat (who he has lived with before, as she was my mother's cat as well). Any suggestions?

    it takes time for cats to get used to new surroundings.

    as far as acclimating the cat to different cats - you can do it slowly and start with having it get used to the smell of the cat . Perhaps pet one cat, and then pet the other. that kinda thing.
