    This house has been in the family since the 50's (bought before renovations when the original homestead burned down) so I know everything about it and it's ghosts. Also I feel your pain on to much yard. Ours always needs work cause it's so big. Get one area done, and start the loop back over.
    :emoji_rolling_eyes::emoji_rolling_eyes:

    Definitely have to have a good layout and flow. That will make any space feel much larger than it is.

    No such thing as too much yard. Plant some atlantic giant seeds. You won't regret it.

    It's 14 acres, and briars try to take over. :emoji_joy::emoji_joy::emoji_joy::emoji_joy:

    I wouldn't give all the work up for anything though.

    My "original" house is weird. Living room is at the front, but no door ever opened into the living room. The front door was in the hallway, which was on one side of the house. Come into the front door, turn left and go down a hallway and see bathroom to the right and a doorway to original living room straight ahead. Turn right see bedroom to the left and hallway down to kitchen.

    The new living room fixed all of that (making the T). Now front door opens into living room, and original front door still leads from living room into hallway but that is normal now. And the flow finally works as no one should really be "flowing" into my bedroom anyway, lol. All anyone needs is the living room, bathroom, and kitchen.

    I do love that my bedroom is big, and has original hardwood flooring, except the flooring is getting squeaky and soft in some areas. I need someone to go under there and shim it back up.

    Okay, mine is nowhere near that big. That's not a yard, that's a farm. I grew up on a 5 acre farm and that was freaking big enough!

    I have a yard yard, but it's big for this area. People always come over and go out back and stop in surprise with how large it is for a subdivision.

    This doesn't even show the courtyard area that is in front of my garage, but it might give some idea of size (not that it's anywhere close to yours lol)

    That is odd, but I'm glad you got it working for you!! Our floors are original hardwood to, but they were never taken care of so unfortunately we either spend A LOT LOT LOT of money trying to fix them, or we cover them. The second option is the most cost effective, and will also work as insulation and prevent drafts from under the house.

    Also this hit I'm on is a lot of ducking writing. :emoji_sob:

    I'm done with hits. I didn't do any work on Sunday so had to do extra yesterday and today to get weekly on track.

    Now I am on track. And off to watch Mindhunter (still have not finished Season 2) while crocheting and watching Kiddo do homework. He had Robotics after school today so got a super late start!

    Soup is a cream potato and sausage. The plate is fried chicken with potatoes and white gravy. Also bread but I forgot to take a photo.

    I also have some Chocolate Buttercream cake that I brought home and will eat shortly.
