I love the food, and some parts of the culture but there are a lot of unsavory aspects to southern culture that I wasnt cool with. Which makes me kind of sad cause i spent 80% of my life living there.

 

I didn't get links awakening yet, although my genesis mini did show up in the mail.

I feel that. I grew up in NY and live in Socal these days, so deepwoods Ga had some...interesting aspects for me. The yankees apparently burnt the mill down the day after the civil war was over, and I STILL heard about it in the year 2017. Okeeeeee dokes! Went to Clemson & stole me a Georgia boy, so it will always have a special place in my heart, even if the entire town called me a Yankee all the time.

 

I have the layers prepared! I'm one of those awful human beings who is way too enamored with freezing weather.

I'll take winter over 100 and humid.

 

Yup. Winter you can put on layers, lotion and a humider. In the heat your just kind of screwed and have to pray your air conditioning can combat the moist hotness that is your life now. That and accept your life as a moist sticky mess.
