I'm pretty sure they start killing pretty darn fast, and then kill any eggs so they can't hatch.

Honestly, probably any fleas that jump on your doggie now will be goners. I wouldn't worry too much about it and let doggo sleep wherever. Maybe wash tomorrow, but...unless the infestation is horrid the best way to get rid of fleas is treat the animal, let the fleas jump on said animal and drink the poisonous blood, let fleas die. Fleas much prefer hosts and will gravitate toward the dog from any bedding, carpet, upholstery, etc.

 

Also, my dog has taken both Bravecto and NexGuard. Both work within a day to start killing fleas (on the very rare times I've lagged between doses and doggo has started scratching. Within 24 hours of the dose, no more frantic "Mom! I have Fleas! Help!" scratching.)

 

Did you give her a flea bath? Flea bath should take care of all the fleas immediately on her, then you do the whole house thing to kill the eggs etc. before putting sheets down.
