I'm broke and saving my mturk earnings for a 1440p 144hz IPS monitor (will be around $500-600 to get it to me), and have more than half what's necessary now. I did just buy a new PC set-up (Z390 aorus pro, 32Gb corsair 3200 MHz, 9900k, 850 gold corsair PSU, meshify C, intel 660p 512gb) with my earnings, and was planning on buying the monitor. Just didn't expect my current second one to bust this week.

You will want something that supports free/g-sync if you are shelling that kind of money. I would prob get the ASUS VG27AQ if I was buying one right now but perhaps there is another good one out? I really doubt it as for some reason manufactures hate making 1440p 144hz+ freesync monitors.

You can find lots of ones for cheap with those specs if you are okay with VA or TN.

Liberal me is totally fine with that. Landlord me is not fine with that! (In my county, if a tenant is doing something illegal the landlord can be held responsible so...yeah, we have to keep an "eye" on things as best we can.)

 

That's the exact one I was looking at (but it's unavailable from seller shipping to Canada right now), but yeah there are a couple of options around in the 400-600 range, but I also have to pay around 100$ for import fees + shipping.

There are reports that it is hard to get google to unblur stuff once they accept the request so it may be doable. I'm not sure what proof google asks before they blur shit but it is prob possible to pull off if someone really wanted to.

The one thing that sucks for me is that I got my monitor about a month before that new one came out but it is still okay I guess. I got a ASUS MG279Q and set the freesync range to 53 to 144hz.

If you have a 2000 series I believe that it does now. @A6_Foul_Out prob knows a bit better about that as he actually has a nvidia card.
