I just did a hit where the bonus structure seems to really mess up their study. I don't want to get too specific but the payout is analogous to betting on a roll of the dice with various payoffs and probabilities of winning for each roll and you accept or deny each gamble. Your bonus is the outcome of the gamble if you accepted the gamble or $0 if you declined it. In other words, guaranteed $0 or some possibility of some amount greater than $0.

It was a well paying and well designed survey that they requester put a lot of effort into yet some how completely discounted incentive motivation and expected value.
