I didn't drop my son but I did fall down the stairs carrying my niece when she was just a baby. I slid down the stairs and slammed into the front door but managed to hold her up in the air. I had a sprained ankle but she was just fine.

 

Also, if she's a champion jumper, watch your dental work.

It's oh so fun when they're jumping around on your lap and their head smacks right into your chin. Hard. And your jaw snaps shut with a crack and you just KNOW bad things happened in there.

 

I've done that with many a beer. So I'd probably make a good parent

My oldest was placed on a dryer in a laundrymat by her other mama. She vibrated right off (she was in a baby seat) and smacked her head on the concrete floor.

She now has a PhD, so ...kids survive!

Though we do give her shit for all the Bs she got in college and tell her she would have totally passed O-chem with an A if one of us had been more careful.
