Was there anyone in GoT who was known before it though? I can't recall many characters I recognized before watching it.. Westworld has like 10 people who when they popped on screen I was like "OMG I LOVE THAT DUDE/DUDETTE" haha.

And I'm going to say 100% GoT doesn't have anyone Hopkins level. They got Hannibal for 'crazy old dude mastermind' role, ffs.

Edit: I think Liam Cunningham (Davos) is the only dude I recognize straight up before seeing GoT.

I spent the last several days researching things like HTPCs, digitizing physical media, and running makeshift servers because of Randomacts.

 

Sean Bean and Jean Reno are all I can think of for GOT actors. I really wish the next book would come out!

 

They had Sean Bean? But other then that... I dunno.. I think they had a basically unlimited budget for casting... and the funny thing is westworld was supposed to just be a 'off-season' show while game of thrones is on break.

But it is fun though.. right?

Also what are you running for your server to playback stuff? Plex? Kodi?

 

Oh jesus I forgot about SB given how short lived he was LOL. Though that was the coolest part of GoT, willing to just immediately nix the dude. Shame they left that legacy behind this past season

 

Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Natalie Dormer, Rose leslie, and Charles Dance were also all fairly famous to differing degrees with tv shows and movies before the show.

 

My husband and I started watching GoT for Sean Bean and Mark Addy. He's still pissed that neither of his favorite actors/characters made it very far.

 

Pedro Pascal if you were a Buffy fan, and Iwan Rheon if you were a Misfits fan.

Ah yes! Also good ones! Pedro Pascal is yummy to look at. I love GOT! Though I'm deeply worried GRRM will fall over dead of diabeetus before i ever get to read the ending

 

I don't think he was? But some people mistake him for Davos I think?

 

The books are about how great warriors finally meet their ends. And that is what makes GoT special.
