Theres no benefit to being above 99%. The only risk in this case would be not getting paid. Andy's average hourly is about $50 and even going with a rejection rate of 50% you have an expected value of $25/hr. I tend to just look at things in terms of numbers so Andy's hits are worth doing unless you have other work in your queue that pays more than $25/hr. I would say the vast majority of turkers lose more money from the fear of rejections than from actually having work rejected.

(some one will chime in about unicorn hits. ignore them.)

Every so often there will be a requester who sets qualifications on a hit to 'approval rating greater than 99%'. Mturk treats this as needing an 100% approval rating meaning you've never had a rejection. Even if your approval rating has been rounded up and displays as 100%, you won't qualify.
