Honestly a close second for next most boring highway is also coming out of the Upper Peninsula into Canada on 17 - Trans Canada Hwy. That Hwy is a million miles with nowhere to stop and if you think you might need to pee in a hundred miles and see a Tim Hortons - go even if you don't have to.

Yeah, the highways are jammed up pretty badly. A lot of times the best way to go is Lakeshore. It's slow, but relatively steady, and at least you have the lake and skyline to look at

After London, you're at least in civilization, instead of the land of a million windmills

True dat. When going east - west if we were stopping in Detroit we used to just sometimes jump off around CVD and take the longer Erie lakeshore part and every once in awhile hit Cedar Point. Lake + Rollercoasters. :)

I don't mind the windmills... they break up the monotony a bit. But yeah totally re: London.

Love Cedar Point! Spent some fun summers there growing up and visiting my grandparents in Cleveland.

Cedar Point is *so* fun :)

Are your grandparents actually *in* Cleveland, or a suburb? (a little personal....feel free to say "fuck off" or answer in private if need be)

My family is from "little italy" in Cleveland. I'm old, they have passed. My family still lives in Cleveland just not there anymore.

My first roller coasters! Was a regular school field trip and family trip. Haven't been there in awhile, but definitely one of my favorite places. (In addition to Great America in Gurnee, IL!)

I'm off in the east side suburbs, which is why I ask :)

My first roller coasters were in a park that no longer exists, sadly :(

Until recently Kings Island had one of the former coasters from there, though probably not one of the ones you grew up with.

X-Flight/Firehawk. Looks like it was built in 2001.
