So woke up this morning feeling hung over, again. All I had last night was pizza and candy, lol.

It was CRAZY at our house for a while. We ran out of candy by 8:15 and I had ten bags of candy!

The three boys stood outside in costume handing it out. at one point Kiddo's two friends decided to trick or treat a little themselves (there were tons of older kids in costume going around, so it's very common in my area for high schoolers to still be out, we're all fine with it, I know many places aren't ok with older kids going out but we are, we encourage it even.) We were "saved" by the candy they got because as I was running round turning off all the lights a whole bunch of people were showing up so the boys took some out of their stashes and put it in our candy bowl to hand out to the people coming to our house. That was awesome of them!

Kiddo had a blast handing out candy in his druid robe. He even started "blending in" to the decorations when he saw older kids coming, then when they got close he'd run at them with the candy causing most of them to freak the hell out and run away screaming, so he'd keep chasing them. They'd eventually stop and get some candy. He would run up to little kids, too, but in a nicer, less scary way. I heard a lot of parents cracking up. My kid really enjoyed being a part of the "decor" for Halloween.

Next year the big day will be on a Saturday so we might see if the same people who were over last night will be in town and do a big event at our house with a firepit, good food, party it up a bit more. The boys all seemed into that. And I'm going to go a lot heavier on last minute decorations (ones I won't leave out all month).

Anyway, my special day is over. It's not a coink-i-dink that my user name is tricker, lol.

Never understood why people care so much about that tbh. Not saying your kid and his friends are the type that this would apply to, but I think teens trick-or-treating is better than teens causing havoc.
